We take pride in treating our sick patients, as well as keeping them healthy all year long!

  • Dogs:  The Distemper-Parvo, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines are the most important and should be kept current for all dogs.
For those in at-risk areas,  the Leptospirosis and/or Rattlesnake vaccines may be needed.
  • We offer a puppy package at a discounted price to make sure your new family member gets all the essential vaccines they need early in life.  It also includes a basic dewormer and a fecal exam.
  • Cats:  The FVRCP and Rabies vaccines are the most important.  However, if your cat goes outside, the Feline Leukemia vaccine should be considered.  A test will be done first to make sure your pet does not have Feline Leukemia or Feline Immunodeficiency virus before giving the Feline Leukemia vaccine.

Flea and Tick Prevention:  Fleas and Ticks are very common in our area.  They can spread dangerous diseases and illnesses to our pets!  It is important to use a product that is safe and effective.  We have different options to help protect your pet, in both the topical and oral forms. ASK about NexGard, a chewable flea and tick prevention for dogs!

Heartworm Prevention:  Heartworm disease is transmitted by heartworms and can be fatal.  It is much easier to prevent this disease than treat it.  Both topical and oral forms are available.  All of our heartworm preventions include a form of flea prevention too!  We have 3 different types, to help customize what is best for your pet!

Dental Care:  Dental care is important to prevent tartar buildup and maintain good oral health.  Dental disease can be very painful for a pet, although our pets often hide that pain.  Infection sets in and can even lead to bone loss around the teeth.  We offer dentistry and many home dental care products, including dental treats, dental diets, toothpastes, and rinses.

Nutrition:  We proudly carry the Royal Canin line of prescription diets and a small amount of Hill's diet to help provide the best nutrition for your pet.

Spay and Neuter:   Spaying or neutering your pet is very important to keep your pet healthy.  It is not just about breeding or not breeding.  Pyometra is a severe infection of the uterus that is life-threatening and commonly seen in females who are not spayed.  Cancer and prostatitis (infection of the prostate gland) are other reasons to have your pet spayed or neutered.  Females who are not spayed have a much higher incidence of breast cancer!

Intestinal Parasites:  Intestinal parasites are common, and a fecal test should be done once to twice a year.  Some of these parasites can infect people too.  Some appear as worms, but others are microscopic and not visible without a microscope.  While they are very common in puppies and kittens, we see quite a few adult animals get them too!
